Giovanni Agnelli founded the group as Società Anonima Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino in July of 1899 with several investors and led it until his death in 1945, while Vittorio Valletta administered the day-to-day activities of the company. t produces and trades automobiles under the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia brands and light commercial vehicles under the Fiat brand. It also provides financing services to its dealers and suppliers and rental services to its customers. Some of its award winning cars include Fiat 124, Fiat 128, Fiat 127, Lancia Delta, Fiat Uno, Fiat Tipo, Fiat Punto, Fiat Bravo/Brava, Alfa Romeo 156, Alfa Romeo 147, and Fiat Panda.
